Dunkin' Donuts hoping to capitalize on National Coffee Day

Dunkin’ Donuts is using National Coffee Day, Sept. 29, to celebrate its 66th year in business by offering customers any medium-sized coffee for 66 cents on that day Of course, the brand is also extending this promotion via social media by offering a one-day-only Snapchat geofilter with a design to celebrate the day that can be unlocked at any of Dunkin' locations next Thursday.

Dunkin’ has been declared the leader in overall coffee sales in research by NPD Group and CREST, according to a news release. That research found that the brand serves more than 1.9 billion cups annually of the wakeful stuff in all its various permutations.
