Dunkin' Donuts helps out with the stocking stuffers

November 21, 2010

Dunkin' Donuts is making Santa's job a bit easier this holiday season. The company is now offering its rechargeable gift cards in almost 19,000 partner retail locations.

According to the Boston Herald, the deal includes 19 retail businesses secured through two third-party distributors. With this expansion, the Dunkin' cards are now available in 18,000 locations, up from 4,600 locations before the deal.

Retail partners include Stop & Shop, Staples, Big Y, select JCPenney and select Bed Bath & Beyond locations. Dunkin' Donuts has also expanded chainwide in CVS locations.

The quick-service donut and coffee chain targeted stores that were within a 25-mile radius of Dunkin' Donuts units.

The cards are available in $15 and $25 denominations.

According to Dave Tryder, Dunkin's director of interactive and relationship marketing, the cards' sales are up by about 20 percent from 2009.
