Dunkin' Donuts hosts Twitter sweepstakes for National Espresso Day

To celebrate National Espresso Day, Nov. 23, Dunkin' Donuts is hosting a Latte Love Twitter sweepstakes beginning today and continuing through the weekend. @DunkinDonuts is asking fans to tweet which of the brand's three holiday flavors – Sugar Cookie, Snickerdoodle Cookie or Peppermint Mocha – they most want to try this season, using the special hashtag #DDLatteLoveSweeps.

On each of the three days, Dunkin' Donuts will select 25 participants to receive a $25 mGift.

The company also announced that a majority of its restaurants will be open on Thanksgiving and will have extended hours on Black Friday. 

MassDot commuters get a boost

Also, Dunkin' Donuts has teamed up with Plymouth Rock Assurance, an auto insurance provider serving Massachusetts and Connecticut, for a MassDot Allston/Brighton toll plaza giveaway. On Nov. 26, from 7-8 a.m., Plymouth Rock will cover toll fares for motorists driving through the plaza in either direction and will also give drivers a $3 Dunkin' Donuts card.

Now in its third year, Plymouth Rock has paid the toll fares for more than 13,000 holiday travelers during the 2012 and 2013 Thanksgiving seasons, according to a news release. This is the first time the company has teamed up with fellow Massachusetts-based company Dunkin' Donuts.

“We’re excited to partner with Plymouth Rock this year for the 2014 Thanksgiving Toll Sponsorship and look forward to keeping our busy, on-the-go guests running on Dunkin’ through Thanksgiving and into the holiday hustle and bustle,” said Todd Wallace, Dunkin's senior field marketing manager, in the release. “With our company’s roots planted in Massachusetts, New Englanders hold a special place in our hearts and we’re happy to be able to give them a little boost during the often tiring holiday travel time.”
