Dunkin' Donuts' new coffee is cool

July 28, 2016

Dunkin' Donuts announced in a company press release that on Monday, Aug. 1, cold-brew coffee will become available at participating Dunkin' Donuts restaurants nationwide. The new menu item is created by steeping the coffee in cold water over an extended period of time, which the company says gives it a "sweeter" flavor.

The new cold-brew was launched in the metro New York and California markets earlier this summer with "fantastic appeal" with customers.

"The launch of cold-brew coffee represents a bold new option for our coffee fans and an important addition to our line-up of quality, innovative beverages," said Chris Fuqua, senior VP of brand marketing, global consumer insights and product innovation, in the report. "Our cold-brew coffee is hand crafted daily at our stores in small batches, with a longer brewing process for a rich, smooth coffee with an inherently sweeter flavor."
