Dunkin' Donuts offering chance to toss first pitch at Mets game

Throughout August, Dunkin' Donuts is hosting the "First Cup, First Pitch" sweepstakes, where every guest who purchases a cup of hot coffee using a DD Perks card will be entered to win the chance to throw out the first pitch at a New York Mets game in September.

There is no purchase necessary and the sweepstakes is open to customers in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. The sweepstakes runs through Aug. 31.

One winner will be randomly selected to throw out the first pitch at the Mets game on Sept. 27 against the Houston Astros.

"It's every baseball fan's dream to throw out the first pitch at a game, and Dunkin' Donuts is giving one of our guests that once-in-a-lifetime opportunity," Cathy Chavenet, Dunkin' Brands senior field marketing director, Metro New York, said in a news release. "This sweepstakes is also a fun way to celebrate the baseball season and reward guests for every Dunkin' hot coffee run they take using an enrolled DD Perks card."
