Dunkin' plans April 'Peeps' show

March 28, 2019

Dunkin' said this week that its dropping a little pop of spring in its coffee and doughnuts next month when those brightly colored, sugar-sprinkled harbingers of warmer weather, Peeps, hop into the brand's offerings. Now the coffee-seeking masses can get Peeps marshmallow-flavored coffee, frozen chocolate and espresso or a doughnut topped with one of the sweet yellow chicks, a news release said.

Along with adding a few cute chicks to the daily offerings, Dunkin' is also introducing Chocolate Cherry Cold Brew, as well as a Sweet Sriracha Bacon Breakfast Sandwich, Iced Tea Lemonade and Frozen Lemonade, with a special offer of $2 medium-sized Dunkin' Cold Brews from 2 to 6 p.m. each day in April.

The brand is also hitting the road April 2-4 in its custom-sculpted coffee car, alongside the Peepsmobile to dole out free coffee and doughnuts beginning in the birthplace of Peeps —Bethlehem, Pennsylvania — and heading toward Dunkin's birthplace of Quincy, Massachusetts. Along the route, both cars will stop at six Dunkin' restaurants to give the first 250 guests a free small Peeps marshmallow-flavored iced coffee, Peeps doughnut and other free items.
