Dutch Bros. franchisee finds ROI in mobile marketing
January 25, 2010
A Phoenix-based Dutch Bros. Coffee franchisee has reaped the benefits of implementing a mobile marketing solution. Local franchise owner Jim Thompson turned to mobile marketing company RocketBux to help build business in the area, especially during a time when many coffee shops are closing.
In just a few months, more than 10,000 greater Phoenix residents opted in to receive special promotions at his drive-thru stores. Using technology powered by RocketBux, Thompson regularly sent special discounts and alerts such as $2 lattes, 2 for the price of 1 and more.
"The RocketBux mobile technology has done more to build my business than any other advertising medium I've ever used," said Jim Thompson, owner of six Phoenix-area Dutch Bros. Coffee franchises. "Drawing 10,000 active customers to our stores on a more regular basis has resulted in significantly increased revenue for us."
Text messaging has become a significant marketing vehicle. Mobile advertising market is expected to reach $50 billion by 2014, according to a study by Mind Commerce.
Dutch Bros. Coffee, which features espresso-based beverages and smoothies, has more than 100 drive-thru locations in 11 Western states.
