El Pollo Loco adds flavors, chicken varieties to celebrate 1 year in Dallas-Fort Worth

El Pollo Loco is showing the people of the Dallas-Fort Worth area some love on its first anniversary in that market by giving away 365 meals at each of the 11 locations there today, a news release said.  

"We have taken great pride in serving our signature citrus-marinated, fire-grilled chicken and Mexican-inspired menu to the Dallas-Fort Worth community over the last year and are excited to celebrate and give our customers even more of what they love," CEO Steve Sather said in the release.

From Nov. 4–10, locations in the area will give away more than 4,000 meals. To receive a free meal, guests simply need to reserve a ticket online for their desired mealtime. Spots will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis.  

The brand is also holding anniversary events at each of its DFW locations on Saturday, Nov. 4. On that date, diners can win prizes, sample menu items and scan the "photo wall" from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Rewards members will also get twice the rewards points on purchases made Nov. 4. 

Finally, the chain has unveiled a new "build your own" menu  that offers guests more than 100 ways to customize their meal, as well as featuring more fire-grilled chicken with certain selections and five new flavors, including fajita, avocado, mango, chipotle avocado and avocado poblano.
