EMX Industries Inc. has launched a new Ultrasonic Vehicle Detector system, USVD-4X. The sensor is designed to optimize operations while cutting costs, and was created using Triangular Planar Array Technology.
A spokesperson for EMX brands referred to it as one of the most ground-breaking technologies that will revolutionize the access and control device industry.
Typical drive-thru vehicle sensors are based on vehicle loop detector configurations. They require a loop to be installed in the pavement. USVD-4X, on the other hand, can simply be mounted on a post or order box. According to a news release, the detection head uses four ultrasonic transducers connected to a control board. The head scans and detects the vehicle on the location it is aimed at. EMX's Ultrasonic Vehicle Sensor does not require set up or functional adjustment, it just needs the installation of an aim.
