Energy management system helps Wendy's franchisee save

Chain Leader:Emerald Foods, a Houston-basedWendy's franchisethat operates 44 restaurants, has installed anenergy management system that automatically adjusts air-conditioning temperature and turns lights and equipment on and off at timed intervals. The system also provides alerts if employees prop the walk-in door open for longer than 10 minutes during morning prep.
