Erbert & Gerbert's kicks off anniversary with deep discount

Erbert & Gerbert's Sandwich Shop is turning 25 this month and to celebrate, the chain is offering classic sandwiches for $2.25 from opening to 3 p.m. on Jan. 23.

The specially priced Founder's Day menu will also include specialty sandwiches for $3.25. The costs reflect these items' original prices from their 1988 debut.

"The 25th anniversary is a huge milestone, and we wouldn't be here without the loyalty of our guests," said Chuck Schwalbe, director of marketing for Erbert & Gerbert's. "What better way to kick off 2013 and show our customers we care than rolling the prices on our most popular sandwiches back to the day we started?"

Schwalbe added that the year-long anniversary celebration is bigger than anything the chain has done before.

The Founders Day menu is the first in a yearlong lineup of special offers and giveaways to celebrate Erbert & Gerbert's anniversary. In addition, throughout the year members of the Sandwich Society rewards program will have the chance to win anniversary prizes.
