Farmer Boys celebrating 30th anniversary

October 11, 2011

California-based Farmer Boys will mark its 30th anniversary Oct. 15.

The 68-unit QSR chain will kick off the festivities at noon in Perris, Calif., home of the first Farmer Boys restaurant at 145 A Ramona Expressway. There, the company will pay tribute to its signature burgers by unveiling a 30 lb. Farmer Boys Cheeseburger.

There will also be games, giveaways, balloons and a surprise visit from the chain's mascot, Farmer Boy Roy.

Also to mark the occasion, Farmer Boys will offer special pricing on its cheeseburgers. On Oct. 15 from 2-4 p.m., 45 locations will sell the item for 99 cents each to customers who bring in a coupon available online.

"We are thrilled to celebrate 30 years of doing what we enjoy most -- bringing great food and great people together in our restaurants," said Ken Clark, president and COO at Farmer Boys Food Inc. "We invite all of our guests to participate in our 30th Anniversary celebration, a milestone in Farmer Boys' history that they helped make possible through their fantastic support."
