Kylee Johnson and eight other co-workers quit a Lincoln, Nebraska, Burger King in July, and one of the employees famously announced "We All Quit" on the sign's marquee, which went viral. Now, Johnson has tattooed the statement on her arm, according to a Business Insider report.
Inside the restaurant, July temperatures soared to 90 degrees. The store was understaffed and over worked after several people quit and were not replaced, Johnson said. Local area managers refused to increase pay, leading to a mass exodus of the current employees.
Johnson tattooed the now-viral statement on her arm as a reminder of what she went through and her worth. The walkout was just one example of the retention issues facing QSR brands today.
"I was raised to give respect. But I was also taught that when you give respect, you should be given respect back," she told Flatwater Free Press.
