Lululemon Chief Strategy Officer and former Starbucks strategy and process improvement leader, Vivien M. Yeung, has joined the board of Jack in the Box restaurants this week, bringing more than 20 years of experience as a growth strategy leader to the chain's governing body, a news release said. Yeung serves as chief strategy officer for apparel retailer, lululemon athletica, inc.
"We are delighted to welcome Vivien to our board, and look forward to leveraging her experience for our Jack in the Box and Qdoba brands," Jack in the Box Chairman and CEO Lenny Comma said in a news release. "Vivien’s expertise in creating and driving long-term strategies and vision for trend-setting and rapidly growing public companies like lululemon and Starbucks, along with her marketing background and acumen in finance and economics, adds a unique perspective to our board."
Young has held the leadership position with lululemon since 2011, but previously had a stint at Starbucks leading strategy development and process improvement for its North American, international and global products organizations. She has also served as a non-profit and philanthropic strategy consultant and supported clients in Asia and Australia at Bain & Company. She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
