On April 28, Krispy Kreme will celebrate National Superhero Day by giving away a free dozen doughnuts to those who are "everyday heroes."

Guests who download a coupon at HeroAppreciationDay.com, present it at a participating location on April 28 and buy a dozen doughnuts will get a free dozen Original Glazed doughnuts to share with their personal heroes.

"Krispy Kreme wants to help its fans recognize and reward the unheralded heroes who live in our communities and serve the public as police officers, fire fighters, military, teachers, doctors, volunteers and many more," said Dwayne Chambers, chief marketing officer for Krispy Kreme.
