For the second year in a row, Gold Star Chili is hosting a promotion and partnership with the Andy & Jordan Dalton Foundation to support children's causes in the Greater Cincinnati area.
Through Nov. 25, a portion of proceeds from the purchase of Gold Star Chili Cincinnati-style 3-, 4- and 5-ways will be donated to the foundation. Gold Star's goal is to donate $20,000 to the foundation, double its 2012 contribution.
"As the Official Chili of the Cincinnati Bengals as well as for Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, the partnership with the Andy and Jordan Dalton Foundation is a natural fit," said Charlie Howard, VP of Marketing & Brand Development, Gold Star Chili. "There is great synergy between our two organizations with the mutual goal of providing assistance to Greater Cincinnati kids and their families at a time when they need it the most."
The promotion is one of several ways Gold Star Chili is supporting the foundation, named for the Cincinnati Bengals quarterback and his wife. Life-size cutouts of Andy Dalton used to promote the partnership with Gold Star restaurants will be collected and given to the foundation to raffle off as a fund-raiser. Additionally, the Gold Star Chilimobile, in partnership with the Christian Moerlein Brewing Co.'s Hudepohl 14-k brand, will serve food and drinks at a Bengals tailgate hosted by Jordan Dalton at Paul Brown Stadium before the Bengals game against the Cleveland Browns on Nov. 17.
