Customers at one New Zealand McDonald's restaurant can enjoy meals inside a refurbished DC-3 plane, according to MailOnline.
The plane was built in 1943 and was one of three used by New Zealand's South Pacific Airlines from 1961 to 1966. It was retired from service and put in storage in the mid 80s. It's spent years parked outside at the Aeroplane Car Company in Taupo, N.Z. The site was acquired by McDonald's in 1990, and the airplane was included in the deal.
The plane has been refurbished in McDonald's corporate colors, and seats 20.
Access is available exclusively through the restaurant, via a flight of stairs near the tail. The engines have been removed, but the propellers and cockpit are intact.
