HMSHost has partnered with WatchGuard Technologies to secure its global networks. The company has deployed hundreds of WatchGuard Unified Threat Management firewall appliances as well as the WatchGuard Dimension security visibility tool to distill network security threats, issues and trends.
HMSHost operates in more than 100 airports around the world. According to a news release, WatchGuard helps HMSHost address the security challenges associated with managing and securing the networks at these dining locations by offering a set of security services, including Packet Filtering, Intrusion Prevention, Application Control, WebBlocker, Gateway AntiVirus, spamBlocker, Reputation Enabled Defense, Data Loss Prevention and Advanced Persistent Threat Protection.
"We have hundreds of food and beverage locations throughout airports and motorways worldwide, and thousands and thousands of employees and customers that rely on the networks at these locations. Network security is critical to keeping their data, our data, and the customer's data safe," HMSHost Chief Information Officer Sarah Naqvi said in the release. "We choose to work with WatchGuard because they not only had the best combination of security services, performance and affordability, but also because they had great reporting capabilities for PCI so we can more easily ensure compliance standards are met."
