Hot Dog on a Stick opened its first kiosk stand today at Westfield Fashion Square in Sherman Oaks, Calif.
The new, custom-designed 200-square-foot kiosk features a more open view for guests to watch Hot Dog on a Stick's signature items being cooked, and is set up for easier grab-and-go access for those who want to avoid the mall's food court.
"Dave Barham, founder of Hot Dog on a Stick, believed in creating a fun and casual dining experience for guests – and sticking a smile on their faces," said Laurie Sonia, executive vice president. "We treat our guests as family and value their time. Our new kiosk will deliver fresh, made-to-order items and the fast and friendly service that we're known for, with added convenience."
Hot Dog on a Stick, which has been around for 66 years, also recently opened its first drive-thru location and is testing breakfast and jumping into domestic franchising. Sonia said the company will test its new concepts for about a year.
"We are just going to try and stick with simplicity. It's what got us here in the first place," Sonia said. "We're very optimistic about these different tests and we'll give it a year to see what has the biggest impact and what's speaking to customers most before deciding what the next steps are."
