Three fast food CEOs made the list of Glassdoor's 2019 Employees' Choice Top 100 CEOs, including In-N-Out CEO Lynsi Snyder at the No. 3 spot, with a 99% approval rating by employees who work or have worked at the Western U.S. burger brand. In fact, Snyder — whose chain is also a favorite in consumer polls — is now the highest-rated female CEO and highest-rated restaurant CEO in the country at 37 years old.
Two other QSR CEOs who made the lofty cut, include Raising Cane's CEO Todd Graves with a 95% employee approval rating, in the No. 28 slot, and Chick-fil-A CEO Dan T. Cathy at the No. 70 slot, with a 92% approval rating.
Snyder was the sole heir to the chain, which was started by her grandparents 71 years ago and still has most of its system's locations in California. The Top CEO award Snyder received comes from reviews posted by the chain's employees on the job-seeking and business review site. Those reviews weighed the CEOs' performance on everything from overall leadership to work environment at the chains. Glassdoor said that CEOs had to have at least 100 job approvals ratings and the same amount of senior management ranking on the platform's site between last May and May 2019.
The CEO of computer hardware and software maker, VMware, Patrick Gelsinger, was the top CEO on this year's Glassdoor list, while the CEO of grocery chain, HEB, Charles C. Butt, came in second on the list.
