Inspire, CKE name new CIOs

March 25, 2019

Two of the world's biggest QSR multi-brand companies announced new chief information officers this afternoon, beginning with Inspire Brands — the parent company of 8,300 Arby's, Sonic, Buffalo Wild Wings and Rusty Taco locations worldwide. Former Sephora Americas chief engineering officer, Raghu Sagi, will join Inspire as its CIO, according to a news release. He'll oversee the technology initiatives across Inspire's enterprise, including using current and emerging tech to improve the customer experience for the company's more than 1.7 billion guest interactions annually.

In his previous role at Sephora, Sagi oversaw omni-channel digital, retail, personalization and CRM including loyalty and data insights capabilities and platforms. Prior to Sephora, Sagi held technology leadership positions at Walmart,Best Buy and Accenture.

He joins the brand April 15, while former Inspire CIO Darla Morse is heading to her new role as CIO at CKE Restaurants. The parent company of Carl's Jr. and Hardee's said Morse will oversee global information systems to support internal and external operations and build an infrastructure to support those brands' growth strategies, according to a news release.

Before her role with Inspire Brands, Morse was CIO of Arby's, following the same position at SeaWorld and various tech roles at Walt Disney World Resorts. CKE has more than 3,800 Carl's Jr and Hardee's locations worldwide.
