McDonald’s will offer table service in its 1,250 United Kingdom stores by the end of October, according to the The Huffington Post. Customers will select items from its current menu via iPads before paying and taking a seat. Once an order is placed, customers will receive an electronic puck to take with them to their tables, which will let staff know where they are seated in order to deliver the orders.
A small trial of table service has already begun in the U.S., according to the article.
