Jack in the Box names CIO

Michael E. Verdesca has been promoted to vice president and chief information officer of Jack in the Box Inc.

Verdesca, previously the division vice president of systems development for the company, has been the acting CIO since October 2010. In his new role, he is responsible for all IT functions and company call centers.

"Michael has shown tremendous leadership since joining the company," said Linda A. Lang, chairman, CEO and president of Jack in the Box Inc. "He's already proven himself capable of developing strong and dedicated teams, leading large projects, and reengineering processes and applying technology solutions to support our evolving business needs."
