Jack in the Box has an LTO that may just pull Homer Simpson's paunchy animated body right out of our television screens.
The triple bacon buttery Jack burger features layers of hog-inspired meat and fat by featuring not only three times the bacon, but also a quarter-pound of beef with cheese and a slippery slathering of bacon mayo and what the chain refers to simply as "bacon butter," according to a company press release.
In a news release, the company said the new secret sauce is, as its name implies, a melty merging of bacon and butter, that slides atop a concoction of the following:
• Hickory-smoked bacon
• Quarter-pound beef patty
• Cheddar cheese
• Grilled onions
• Buttery bun
"We knew we were on to something special when we created the Buttery Jack line," Jack in the Box CMO Iwona Alter, said in a news release. "The new triple bacon buttery Jack builds on our legacy of buttery burgers, offering a unique and innovative twist with our secret ingredient, bacon butter."
The buttery, bacon-y, beefy bunful will debut during that show of shows, Sunday's 51st Super Bowl, where it will star in all its greasy glory in a 30-second TV spot, But the brand is running previews of its Sunday performance via social media and the chain's Dali-esque news site, JackiLeaks.
