Jack's opens 200th store

Alabama-born walk-up hamburger stand, Jack's, is officially opening its 200th store May 5. The location is on South Church Avenue, in Louisville, Mississippi which is the brand's first in the east-central Mississippi city, a news release said.

"As we celebrate the opening of our 200th restaurant, we could not be more thankful for the continued support we receive from our customers and communities and the hard work of all of our restaurant employees," Jack's Family Restaurants CEO Todd Bartmess said in the release. "This is a really exciting time in our brand's Southern history as we are entering new markets and continuing to grow our community ties."

The grand opening event will include all the essentials, like a ribbon-cutting and displays, as well as the 200 Prize Jack's Giveaway, which will aware 50 customers free Big Jack coupons and other perks.

The store features porch-style seating, a drive-thru and catering.

The brand, founded 61 years ago in Homewood, Alabama, now has stores in four states.
