Jersey Mike's opens online merchandise shop

Jersey Mike's fans can now order branded apparel such as t-shirts and coolers online at the company's new Web-based merchandise store: shopjerseymikes.com. Other merchandise includes beach crew sweatshirts, ball caps, travel mugs and Mini Mike's temporary tattoos.

CMO Rich Hope said in a press release that customers have been asking for branded items for years.

"With these custom items, you can feel like you are at the Jersey Shore no matter where you are," he said.

The company is promoting the online store with point-of-purchase advertising as well as grassroots promotion cards that will be handed out locally. Advertising and promotions on social media sites and through Web banners will also be implemented.
