Global restaurant chain Jollibee will open its newest location in downtown San Francisco on July 31, according to a press release.
Centrally located at 934 Market St. near the Powell Street BART station, the new restaurant will offer dine-in, takeout, online ordering and catering from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
The menu will feature signature items including Chickenjoy fried chicken, original and spicy chicken sandwiches, Peach Mango Pie and the Pineapple Quencher. The brand recently garnered national recognition, being crowned the "best fast-food fried chicken in America" by USA Today for the third consecutive year in July 2026.
To celebrate the grand opening, Jollibee will offer giveaways to the first 100 in-store customers over three days. Friday's customers will receive a year of free Chickenjoy and a classic "I Heart Jollibee SF" T-shirt. Saturday's early arrivals will receive a Jolly Waves canvas tote bag, and Sunday's first 100 customers will receive a set of Jollibee decorative lights.
The Bay Area remains a central market for Jollibee, which opened its first U.S. location in nearby Daly City in 1998. In addition to operating more than a dozen locations in the region, the company announced a partnership with the Golden State Warriors to host fan activations during the 2026-2027 season.
Jollibee plans to further expand its footprint in California with upcoming stores in Oxnard and Elk Grove. The brand is also accelerating its national growth through a recently launched North American Franchising Program, reporting an average unit volume of $4.5 million.
