KFC has named Jason Marker as its chief marketing officer in the U.S. Marker began his duties last week, after spending 18 months as vice president of global branding for the chain.
According to Ad Age, he replaces Barry Westrum, who left to pursue other opportunities.
Marker has also worked for parent company Yum! Brands, including as CMO of KFC and Pizza Hut in the Australia and New Zealand markets.
Westrum was named CMO in February. He had previously worked as CMO for A&W and Long John Silver's when they were part of Yum! Brands.
KFC's most recent earnings report included a 3 percent decline at KFC U.S. Last year, KFC's U.S. sales dropped 3.9 percent and the brand's footprint shrunk by 2.1 percent to 5,055 stores.
