KFC says 'throw another (fried chicken-scented) log on the fire'

Yes, you read that headline right, Kentucky Fried Chicken has partnered with Enviro-Log to offer firelogs that emanate the scent of the Colonel's fried chicken, making it now possible to roast those chestnuts on an open finger lickin' fire. The chain's KFC 11 Herbs & Spices logs are priced at $18.99, according to a news release, which did not specify how many logs came in each order.

"At KFC, we have always been proud of our role in bringing loved ones together at the dinner table around a bucket of our world-famous fried chicken," KFC U.S. CMO Andrea Zahumensky, said in the release. "Now, this winter we're bringing all the things we love — family, friends and fried chicken — together around the fire with our scented firelog."

According to KFC, Psychology Today has reported that smells trigger areas in the brain strongly linked to memory, so the logs make ideal buys for those with happy memories around a bucket of fried chicken. These, like all of the chain's offbeat offerings, are only available while supplies last, guaranteeing on a log roll of sorts at the brand's outlets nationwide in coming days.
