Two glazed doughnuts with a hunk of fried chicken in the middle may not be everybody's lunch pick, but in Taiwan, KFC is hoping it will not only attract a few takers but a whole lot of YouTube attention.
KFC worked with Krispy Kreme on its new Krispy Kreme doughnut burger, designed to attract lots of camera lenses and YouTube shares among the brand's followers on that social media channel, according to Marketing-Interactive.com.
The LTO, which sandwiches a fried chicken thigh amid two of Krispy Kreme's glazed doughnuts, is only being made available in select outlets of the brand in the East Asian state.
KFC Taiwan alsodid a 10-day fried chicken skin pop-up store just before the Chinese New Year, which also drew attention on YouTube.
