Krystal is opening a non-traditional unit in Soddy-Daisy, Tenn., on Monday. The restaurant features a new layout for the chain, based out of nearby Chattanooga.
The concept, called Krystal Too, is the second of its kind and, according to the Times Free Press, could inspire others if it performs well.
The unit is located in a strip center, does not include a drive-thru, and features counter seating with revolving bar stools.
Though its exterior differs from a traditional freestanding Krystal, the menu will be similar, excluding breakfast.
Brad Wahl, vice president of Marketing at Krystal, told the Times Free Press that the store is a new way of "providing the Krystal experience to our passionate customers."
The first Krystal Too opened in early March in Tucker, Ga. High demand led to the opening in Soddy-Daisy.
Krystal announced last week that it had been purchased by Argonne Capital Group, an Atlanta private equity firm.
The purchase price was not disclosed.
