Lineage Logistics acquires QSR food distributor

Novi, Michigan-based logistics provider, Lineage Logistics, said it has acquired the assets of one of the nation's leading food service distributors, Maines Paper & Food Service, Inc., according to a news release. 

Lineage said it made the move to bolster its end-to-end QSR and casual dining supply chain services. Maines — which primarily supports Burger King, Tim Hortons and Darden Restaurants — includes a warehousing and transportation network across seven states, serving more than 2,500 restaurants.

Lineage has more than 50 million square feet and 1.8 billion cubic feet of temperature-controlled capacity across more than 290 facilities in 11 countries throughout North America, Europe and the Asia-Pacific.
