Long John Silver's to deliver 'drive thru of the future' with outdoor digital signage

Long John Silver's plans to upgrade its drive thrus with outdoor digital menu boards. The QSR partnered with Allure, a division of Christie Digital Systems USA, to upgrade 400 locations with HD video screens, according to a press release.

Each location will deploy three 55-inch displays featuring HD audio and a platform to improve the ordering experience. Allure's platform will allow Long John Silver's to quickly update the menu with promotional specials based on trends, events and weather.

"We have made tremendous progress in revitalizing Long John Silver’s," James O’Reilly, CEO of Long John Silver's, said in the release. "As we transform and update our restaurant base over the next two years, we want to make a bold statement to our drive-thru customers. More than half our sales occur at the drive-thru and we want our customers to enjoy that experience with the best technology available."
