Marble Slab Creamery enters Pakistan

Global Franchise Group LLC announced today the master franchise agreement with Western Brands PVT Ltd. for the opening of the first Marble Slab Creamery locations in Pakistan. Per the agreement, the deal calls for the development of 10 Marble Slab Creamery stores in Pakistan throughout a 10-year period, with the 5,000-square-foot flagship store opening up in the city of Lahore, Pakistan.

The opening of the Marble Slab Creamery locations in Pakistan builds upon the brand's expansion in the South East Asian Sub Continent. Western Brands PVT Ltd. selected Marble Slab Creamery given its proven presence internationally.

"We were looking to expand Western Brands' portfolio to include a strong ice cream concept, and were impressed with Marble Slab Creamery's international business model," said Jawad Qureshi, chief marketing officer of Western Brands. "We are excited to launch the brand with our flagship store in Pakistan and rapidly expanding our franchise locations starting from Lahore and into metropolitan cities like Islamabad and Karachi."

Marble Slab Creamery is parent company Global Franchise Group's most requested international brand, currently operating in more than 13 countries including Australia, Canada, Mexico, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.

Marble Slab marks 30th anniversary

Additionally, Marble Slab Creamery is celebrating its 30th birthday and 30 Reasons to Smile campaign along with sister brand MaggieMoo's Ice Cream & Treatery.

The campaign kicks off on April 1 with 30-cent scoops and a free mix-in at participating U.S. locations.

"Our 30 Reasons to Smile campaign will give our customers a reason to smile with monthly specials from April through to the end of July and new birthday cake inspired flavors, such as Strawberry Shortcake, Salted Caramel Cake, Mango Creme Cake and Birthday Swirl," said Allison Lauenstein, brand director of the brands.

Both brands are managed by GFG Management LLC, a subsidiary of Global Franchise Group.
