McDonald's Arabia is the first quick-service brand in the Middle East to launch an independently produced TV series, according to AME Info. The series was timed for Ramadan and will air two times a day on three of the region's highest-rated TV channels.
The program is divided into 30 parts and is in the form of hakawati, an Arabian for . The series debuted last year and was successful enough to prompt its expansion this year, said Yousif Abdulghani, managing director of McDonald's Middle East and Africa.
"McDonald's has always been a family restaurant, and our hakawati series truly embodies the idea of coming together as a family during this special time of year," he said.
