McDonald's is leaning into marathon season — and athletes' love of pickle juice — with the launch of "Pickle Boost," bottled brine from the chain's signature pickles that will be available during Chicago Marathon weekend, the company has announced.
Runners can get an early taste of Pickle Boost during shakeout runs along Chicago's Lakefront Trail on Oct. 9 when McDonald's will distribute the bottled brine at 2401 N. Lake Shore Drive from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
On race day, Oct. 11, McDonald's will set up "Pickle Boost Pit Stops" at five of its Chicago restaurants from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Runners and spectators can receive two complimentary bottles to use as a "quick boost, pre-race perk or victory lap," according to the company. The giveaway will be available while supplies last.
