McDonald's intros Spicy McNuggets with BOGO offer Sept 16

McDonald's is playing up the heat in the Spicy Chicken McNuggets the brand is introducing Sept. 16 nationally by offering its tongue-in-cheek "Spicesurance," which the brand said "covers" customers regardless of how much heat they prefer.

The one-day promotion Wednesday, Sept. 16 gives customers who order a six-piece Spicy Chicken McNuggets through McDonald's App the option to add the brand's "Spicesurance" that will deliver six more of the nuggets or classic chicken McNuggets free, according to a press release.

The new spicy offerings are McDonald's first McNugget flavor change in the U.S. since classic McNugget's debuted in 1983. From Sept. 22 –28, McDelivery on Uber Eats will also kick in a free 10-piece Spicy Chicken McNuggets with a $20 minimum purchase.
