McDonald’s Japan cuts off China chicken supply

July 25, 2014

McDonald’s Japan announced that it will stop selling all chicken products from China, and will also stop selling chicken McNuggets in Hong Kong, following the recent scandal alleging that its Chinese supplier, Husi Food Co., was selling expired meat.

McDonald’s Japan will start importing its chicken supply from Thailand.

According to the Associated Press, McDonald's restaurants in Hong Kong will also stop selling salads, lemon tea and corn because they include ingredients from a Husi factory.
