McDonald's July comps up 3.8%

OAK BROOK, Ill. — McDonald's credited breakfast and strategic focus on premium products for solid July same-store sales.
Globally, McDonald's comparable sales were up 3.8 percent. U.S. comps increased 1.9 percent for the month while Europe's jumped 5 percent.
McDonald's chief executive officer Jim Skinner said its new Snack Wrap — launched in the U.S. last week — is one example of how "we are successfully building sales by appealing to customers across these multiple dimensions."
