In celebration of its 2014 FIFA World Cup sponsorship, McDonald’s will launch a “Peel. Play. Olé, Olé" game on June 10 with the chance to win a trip to the soccer matches in Brazil. Entry for a chance to win ends June 23.
The online sweepstakes joins the brand’s French fry packaging redesign, featuring original, soccer-themed street art. McDonald’s is also hosting the Player Escort program, offering 26 kids the chance to attend matches in Brazil and meet some of the players.
"From the Player Escort program to our new sweepstakes, McDonald's USA is helping more people than ever before to experience the FIFA World Cup live in Brazil in an unforgettable way,” Dean Barrett, SVP, global relationship officer, said in a news release.
The "Peel. Play. Olé, Olé" game includes game pieces on McDonald's products. Some customers will be instant winners and receive prizes like Arch Cards valued at $10, $50 or $100, U.S. Soccer gear, Fanatics.com digital gift codes and free McDonald's food.
All game pieces include a special code, which customers can use to enter online at mcdonegoal.com for a chance to win a trip to the FIFA World Cup Brazil.
