McDonald's No. 1 QSR for people with kids
August 1, 2006
NEW YORK — McDonald's is the No. 1 fast-food brand among people with kids at home, according to consumer research firm Scarborough Research.
Thirty-one percent of U.S. adults with children ate at a McDonald's during the past week. Consumers with children in the household are 30 percent more likely than all consumers nationally to have eaten at McDonald's during the past seven days, the report said.
Burger King and Wendy's, where 13 percent of people with kids ate during the past week, round out the top three fast-food brands.
Nationally, 72 percent of all consumers with kids at home — more than 65 million people — ate at a fast-food restaurant during the past week.
Scarborough Research measures the lifestyle and shopping patterns, media behaviors and demographics of American consumers.
