McDonald's Corp. plans to hire 70,000 new employees in China this year as it opens new outlets throughout the country. This will nearly double the chain's current workforce, according to Bloomberg.
Next week, the 1,400 McDonald's China restaurants will set up recruitment tables with applications for open positions.
There are currently 80,000 McDonald's employees in China. About 250 new units are planned by the end of 2012.
McDonald's, which offers delivery service in China, generated about 22 percent of its revenue from the Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa (APMEA) region in 2011.
