McDonald’s recognizes Frymaster for carbon footprint reduction

McDonald’s Corp.'s contribution to saving energy has been greatly aided by Frymaster, a Manitowoc Foodservice company.

McDonald’suses Frymaster LOV fryers, which have reduced its oil usage by 40 percent, saving energy by 4.5 percent annually. Additionally, Frymaster’s High Density Universal Holding Cabinet takes up less space and generates about 28 percent less energy annually.

To recognize these benefits, McDonald’s has presented Frymaster with its Significant Contributor Award. The Significant Contributor Award signifies Frymaster’s commitment to work with McDonald’s to reduce carbon footprints.

Frymaster's products have also earned the company an Energy Star rating and the 2010 Energy Star Partner of the Year Award.

Frymaster is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year and has worked with McDonald’s for more than 40 years.
