McDonald's testing Taste Crafted Burgers in SoCal Southern

McDonald's restaurants in Southern California are introducing Taste Crafted Burgers and Chicken.

Responding to consumer requests for variety and personalization, McDonald's restaurants in Southern California are introducing Taste Crafted Burgers and Chicken. These new menu items allow customers to create a sandwich the way they want by pairing one of four new flavor bundles with their choice of proteins and buns, according to a company press release.

Starting with a choice of 100-percent USDA inspected beef, Buttermilk Crispy Chicken or Artisan Grilled Chicken, customers then have a choice of a sesame seed bun, potato roll or artisan roll. Once the protein and bun are selected, customers can choose one of the four flavor options, including Pico Guacamole, Buffalo Bacon, Maple Bacon Dijon and Deluxe, the release stated.  

For those looking to spice up their sandwich, there is the Pico Guacamole build with Pico de Gallo and guacamole, ranch sauce, white cheddar cheese and lettuce or the Buffalo Bacon build with blue cheese spread, spicy buffalo sauce, Applewood-smoked bacon, tomato and shredded lettuce. For a sweeter flavor, the Maple Bacon Dijon build offers bacon with maple seasoning, grilled onions, Dijon sauce, white cheddar cheese and lettuce.

"Consumers have told us that they are looking for variety and the ability to customize their choices. Taste Crafted Burgers and Chicken allows us to cater to our customers' desires," said Clay Paschen III, president, McDonald's Operators' Association of Southern California. "We're excited to bring these delicious ingredients, delectable flavors and variety to our Southern California customers."
