McDonald's announced that its longtime chief restaurant officer is retiring. Doug Goare has been with the Chicago-based chain for 40 years, according to Marketwatch.
The company said the U.S. system of the chain will remain under the leadership of McDonald's USA President Chris Kempczinski, while its international system will fall under the guidance of Joe Erlinger, with Ian Borden leading international developmental licensed markets.
CEO Steve Easterbrook said those new appointments are better suited to building on the company's current forward movement.
