Mr. Goodcents Subs & Pastas implements SecureConnect PCI compliance solution

October 14, 2009

Mr. Goodcents Subs & Pastas has taken steps to clear up PCI compliance concerns among its franchisees as owner/operators, who were given differing validation requirements from their various acquiring banks. The Mr. Goodcents franchise office has chosen SecureConnect to provide the chain's PCI compliance solution.

The program is was provided by BHI Advanced Internet, a company that was also able to help educate franchisees about PCI compliance and why it is important to strengthen security throughout the Mr. Goodcents system. The company held webinars and workshops for franchisees, allowing them to ask questions and voice concerns about becoming compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).

"BHI was willing to work with us to educate our franchisees about PCI compliance before beginning the implementation process. It was important that all our franchise owners understood the purpose of the PCI DSS requirements and why we have chosen to work with BHI and implement the SecureConnect solution," Rick Frederick, IT director at Mr. Goodcents, said in a news release.

Some of the key features SecureConnect offers include a managed firewall, web filtering and content control, essential PCI-required services. The program also includes quarterly vulnerability scans and system logs as well as Wi-Fi secure access points.
