NexCen Brands Inc.'s manufacturing facility in Atlanta is now producing dry pretzel mix for its Pretzelmaker brand in addition to the company's existing cookie dough production for Great American Cookies. The expanded production capabilities of dry pretzel mix, a proprietary recipe used to create fresh pretzel dough at franchise locations, creates an opportunity for more efficient international distribution.
The launch of new production capabilities follows the recent expansion of the company's manufacturing facility. The new production process will be enhanced through more automated systems and will ensure product consistency and purchasing efficiencies for the Pretzelmaker franchised brand.
"We are pleased to have commenced the production of Pretzelmaker's dry mix at our expanded manufacturing facility," said Kenneth J. Hall, CEO of NexCen Brands Inc. "Added to the earlier launch of our on-site Innovation Lab, we are now able to offer additional support for our franchisees and to increase revenue generated from the facility."
NexCen Brands announced in May that the company has accepted a $112.5 million buyout offer from an affiliate of independent investment firm Levine Leichtman Capital Partners.
