Next in McDonald's pipeline: Egg white McMuffins

McDonald's will introduce a lower-calorie twist on its classic Egg McMuffin on April 22. According to the Chicago Tribune, the Egg White Delight features egg whites cooked on a grill and topped with white cheddar and Canadian bacon and served on a whole-grain English muffin.

Egg white alternatives will also be available for McDonald's traditional lineup of breakfast sandwiches.

The Egg White Delight has 250 calories and was tested in 2012 in Atlanta and Austin, Texas.

Additionally, McDonald's will rollout new McWrap sandwiches on March 25, and a blueberry pomegranate smoothie by May 15.
