Scripture Only Inc., owned by David Andrews, has paid more than $8,500 in back wages to the U.S. Department of Labor on behalf of 150 current and former employees of six Subway restaurants in Ohio.
According to the Norwalk Reflector, the restaurants, located in Willard, Shelby, Ontario, Upper Sandusky, Fostoria and Alvada, Ohio, were investigated by the department’s Wage and Hour Division for denying minimum wage and overtime pay to those employees.
Scripture Only’s violations stemmed from cash shortage deductions and docking employee pay for uniforms, as well as reducing hourly rates that were below federal minimum wage.
