Pennsylvania McDonald’s replaces playground with touchscreen games

June 24, 2014

Renovations are almost complete at a State College, Pa., McDonald’s restaurant that will feature a dual lane drive-thru and new technology to speed up service.

Perhaps most notably, however, are the new tables equipped with touchscreen video games. General Manager Brett Vance said there are about 50 games, including solitaire for older customers, and games “even 3 year olds can understand.”

According to StateCollege.com, the area replaces a children’s play area, which Vance said created too many liability concerns.
